Working alongside doctors, nurses and paramedics from all over the country, Calon Heart Screening aims to equip people with vital emergency and life-saving skills. Including training on how to safely use a defibrillator – the important knowledge and actions that could save a life, – we regularly see the incredible difference that bystanders can make to patient survival.

We offer CPR and defibrillator training to schools, sports clubs and communities all over Wales and all training is delivered by qualified professionals. Our aim is to ensure people are able to act confidently and without hesitation in an emergency.

Despite the petition (P-04-396) calling on the Welsh Assembly to introduce emergency life support skills as part of the national curriculum, there are no current plans for its inclusion, so Calon Heart Screening have been delivering this unique training project in schools and communities across Wales. With the expertise of medical professionals such as anaesthetic and intensive care doctors (who use these skills every day), we are providing a unique and essential program accessible to everyone in Wales.
